chigbo is a singer-songwriter whose work spans the genres of soft rock, alternative rock, pop and soul. An Igbo musician raised in New York, chigbo has performed in Nigeria, Ireland, Ethiopia and parts of the United States. She studied music at Cornell University and worked for years as a private piano coach.
The name "chigbo" is the short form of Chigboro, meaning God resolves or brings peace.

The street beats of the Bronx and late night Harlem scene are where I currently live and perform. From an early age, I followed my dreams to New York, graduating from college with a degree in music production and performance.
